To foster exchange and cooperation between cold chain logistics businesses in Taiwan and the Philippines, the "2024 Taiwan-Philippines Cold Chain Industrial Collaboration Summit" organized by The Administration of Commerce, MOEA (hereinafter referred to as AOC) has been held today (12th) at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
Ms. Wen-Ling Su, the Director General of AOC highlighted that over the past two years, Taiwan and the Philippines have actively promoted exchange and cooperation in cold chain logistics. She expressed confidence that, with the support of Taiwan's mature cold chain technologies and services, the Philippines' cold chain logistics will rapidly develop. Ms. Su looks forward to this forum creating more opportunities for collaboration between the two sides.
Around 30 delegates from the Philippines participated in the event which included representatives from Food Starter, Megawide holdings, C&J Specialty Papers etc. On the Taiwanese side, prominent companies including Evergreen Logistics, Elite International Marketing and Management Co., Ltd., Sun Fresh Vegetable Co., Ltd., Techbishi Refrigeration Technologies Co., Ltd., Flutai Co., Ltd., Mirle Group, Advantech Co., Ltd. etc., are also in attendance, making significant contributions to today's gathering.
"We look forward to the expansion of the Industrial Collaboration Summit that will allow us to progress the implementation of various memoranda of understanding(MOU) and related initiatives and succeeding discussions that will enable us to continue to work together for trade and investment opportunities." said Mr. Anthony B. Rivera, Trade Representative and Director for Commercial Affairs at the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Taipei.
Taiwanese industrial representatives shared insights on the development, management, and prospects of Taiwan's cold chain logistics technologies, as well as a case study on the collaboration for a smart cold chain logistics center in Vietnam. The Philippine presentation covered topics including the cold chain development and opportunities in the Philippines, the planning and expansion of the Clark National Food Hub, and the benefits of the Philippine agricultural freeport for Taiwanese businesses.
