The Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) plans to add another 1,000 hectares of land to its system of satellite parks, says an Economic Daily News report.
A portion of this land will be provided to flat panel manufacturer AUO's 10G plant and the upstream and downstream suppliers in its supply chain, according to Yang Wen-ke, Director of the CTSP Administration.
AUO and its supply chain will receive at least 400 hectares of land, based on past experience with Sharp, which also operates a similar plant, he said.
The additional 1,000 hectares, the location of which has yet to be decided, will make the CTSP the largest science park system in Taiwan.
