Intrinsyc Software International Inc., the Canadian mobility software and services company, has decided to make its entrance into the Asian market by making Taiwan its base for development in Asia.
Ms. Glenda Dorchak, the company’s chairman and CEO, said that the new branch represents an important milestone for the development of Intrinsyc’s services in Asia. The company also announced that it has signed a service contract with an engineering service agreement with a major OEM of handheld devices.
With its headquarters located in Vancouver and branch companies located in the US and Europe, Intrinsyc is looking to take on the Asian market for mobility software and services. The company’s expertise lies in mobility software products, engineering design services, and systems integration, which can help clients in Asia improve their strategic policies, production capacity, and a reduced time-to-market for products – all benefits sure to attract customers.
Intrinsyc’s Taipei branch will serve as services center for the Asia-Pacific region, providing support for its Soleus™ mobile handset software and wireless engineering services.
An official opening ceremony was held on Sept. 27, which was attended by Intrinsyc executives, customers, and government representatives including Ron MacIntosh, Executive Director of the Canadian Trade Office in Taiwan, and Berton Chiu, Director-General of the Department of Investment Services under the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Director-General Chiu said he welcomed Intrinsyc's decision to form a base of operations in Taipei, and added that this move attests to the company's confidence and outlook for Taiwan’s future
