JSR, the world's largest producer of color photoresists, will go ahead with plans to expand production at its subsidiary JSR Micro in the Central Taiwan Science Park Yunlin Huwei Base, adding photo spacers and insulation film to production, which is scheduled to begin next year. At that time JSR Micro will become an even more integral part of Taiwan's optoelectronic upstream supply.
Yoshinori Yoshida, President of JSR, said JSR Micro will expand operations to provide a complete upstream supply. Investment for the original color pigment dispersed resist plant along with new facilities for photo spacers and insulation film will total
NTD 851.8 million.
On July 7 JSR held an opening ceremony for its color resist plant in the Central Taiwan Science Park. The ceremony was attended by representatives from AU Optronics, Chi Mei Optoelectronics, and Innolux.
