Formosa Plastics Group expects NTD 1.5 trillion in revenues in 2006

Formosa Plastics Group, in mid January, credited its Sixth Naphtha Cracker in Mailiao with helping boost the business group's total annual revenues to NTD 1.4 trillion in 2005. FPG expects its revenues to further grow to NTD 1.5 trillion in 2006. FPG said that, after the completion of the fourth stage expansion of the Sixth Naphtha Cracker at the end of the year, that petrochemical complex alone would generate revenues of nearly NTD 1 trillion yearly.

FPG has invested a total of NTD 652.8 billion in the fourth stage of the Sixth Naphtha Cracker. In 2005, the cracker complex alone generated revenues of NTD 809.3 billion for FPG.

FPG's revenues reached NTD 1.2 trillion in 2004, surpassing the NTD 1 trillion mark for the first time.
