Compal Electronics, at its year-end banquet in mid January, announced that it intends to achieve annual revenues of
NTD 506.4 billion in 2006. This would mark an increase of 30% compared to the
NTD 383.1 billion in revenues the computer maker saw in 2005.
A major part of this rise in revenues will come from the manufacturing of notebook computers. While the computer maker made 9.81 million notebooks in 2005, it expects to exceed this figure by 52.9% by producing a whopping 15 million notebooks in 2006.
