At
USD 24.61 billion, Taiwan's overseas orders in November achieved their second highest single-month value ever, according to
MOEA statistics. Also, with orders increasing by 24.58%, or UD 4.85 billion, in November compared to November 2004, Taiwan's overseas orders are expected to increase by nearly 20% this year.
In November, the increase in orders for information technology and communications products was the greatest at 43.25%.
The values of overseas orders for various product categories in November were: information technology and communications products:

USD 1.05 billion; metals and metal products:
USD 1.78 billion; plastic and rubber and plastic and rubber products:
USD 1.21 billion; precision instruments:
USD 1.61 billion; electronic products:
USD 1.46 billion.
In November, orders from the US increased 16.58% on the year to
USD 6.49 billion; orders from Hongkong (including China) rose 27.25% to
USD 5.73 billion; orders from Japan grew 31.41% to
USD 2.81 billion; and orders from Europe climbed 30.34% to
USD 4.6 billion.
Overall, in the first eleven months of the year, Taiwan's overseas orders have increased
USD 36.51 billion, or 18.7%, to
USD 231.8 billion.
