Taiwanese software enterprise SmarTeam Corp. announced in early March that it has teamed up with China's Huawei Technologies in order to provide software to Kenya's largest telecom company Safaricom. Over the last year, SmarTeam has been active in developing its operations in Taiwan, Hongkong and China and has initiated a drive to further expand globally.
Under this plan, SmarTeam is to develop billing and customer services systems for Safaricom, while Huawei will supply hardware and basic infrastructure.
