Foreign investors hold 23% of stock on Taiwan Stock Exchange

Foreign institutional investors have racked up a buying surplus on the Taiwan Stock Exchange of NTD 255.3 billion this year up to December 24, according to figures released by the Financial Supervisory Commission.

These foreign investors have placed total buy orders of NTD 3.1214 trillion and sell orders of NTD 2.8661 trillion in this period.

Taiwan Stock Exchange numbers show that foreign investors own NTD 3.1401 trillion in Taiwanese stocks, accounting for 22.89% of the total value of the market.

On Taiwan's over-the-counter stock market, foreign investors have sold more than they have bought this year, posting an NTD 13.5 billion selling surplus. Purchases totaled NTD 165.5 billion, while sales reached NTD 179 billion.
