Grabbing a 14% market share, Acer was the top-selling brand for LCD flat screen monitors in the West European market in the third quarter, according to European market researcher Bryan Norris Associates. Acer also led in the national markets of Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Holland.
Acer, Taiwan's most successful internationally branded
IT company, has enjoyed international affirmation of its product designs this year. It was recently presented with the 2005 iF design (International Forum Design) award for its AL2032 W LCD monitor. The
IT company also earned a product design award from Germany's Red Dot for its LCD monitors in April.
Acer has made LCD monitors one of its most important product lines, and offers a full range of LCD monitors. The AL2032 W LCD monitor comes with a 20-inch screen and can be placed on a desk or attached to the wall. It is scheduled to be released on the global market in January.
