  Consolidated by the Electronics Research & Service Organization (ERSO) and the Opto-Electronics & Systems Laboratories (OES) in Jan. 2006; focuses on flexible electronics, non-volatile memories & nanoelectronics, advanced packaging, optical storage, etc.

• Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)

  Provides information on the latest developments in nanotechnology, biomedicine, broadband and mobile communications technology, semiconductor technology, optics and display technologies; it also provides in-depth industry and market reports.

• ITRI Materials Net (Chinese only)

  Provides new materials knowledge, feature articles relevant to the materials industry and related information and links

• Materials Research Laboratories, ITRI

  stress R&D on packaging, electronic materials, functional polymer materials, high performance metal materials and nanomaterials to make raw materials and peripheral parts available for 3C, optoelectronics and semiconductor industries

• Metals Industry Research and Development Center (Chinese only)

  Provides information on the research developments and promotion of the metals industry in Taiwan.

• National Applied Research Laboratories (NARL)

  Established by National Sciece Council (NSC); coordinates national R&D resources and platforms; promotes cutting-edge research in basic and applied sciences and technologies

• National Measurement Laboratory (NML)

  Authorized by Bureau of Standards, Metrology & Inspection (BSMI), MOEA and operated by CMS, ITRI; establishes and maintains national measurement standards.

• National Science Council (NSC)

  The highest government agency responsible for promoting the development of science and technology

• Science & Technology Advisory Group (STAG), Executive Yuan

  Consultative system in the Office of the Premier, recommending the government's science and technology policy for future development and the implementation of the relevant projects.
