Annual Bonus

It is general practice for companies to give employee bonuses equivalent to one month's pay on the eve of the Lunar New Year holidays. Some companies give more depending on the profitability of business in the applicable year.

Female workers who have held their jobs for more than six months shall receive full pay while on leave. Those who have held their jobs for less than six months will receive half pay.

Annual paid leave is stipulated as follows:

  • Paid leave for death in the family: 3-8 days, depending on worker's relationship to the deceased
  • Paid leave for marriage: 8 days
