Domestic and Overseas Investment Promotion Units

The DOIS has no branch units, either in Taiwan or overseas. Within Taiwan it works through the 21 county and city Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committees, and overseas through commercial divisions under the Ministry of Economic Affairs in more than 60 different countries.

Domestic: County and city Industrial Development and Investment Promotion Committees

These committees are the investment promotion units of the different county and city governments. Investors can go to these units when they invest in the local area, or when they encounter problems with their investment projects.

Overseas: Overseas units of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA)

The Ministry of Economic Affairs currently operates more than 60 commercial divisions around the world. All of these divisions provide consultation services regarding investment in Taiwan to overseas Chinese and foreign nationals in their areas, and can assist Taiwanese companies in carrying out investment in those areas. For the names and addresses of these units, please visit the website http://eweb.trade.gov.tw/kmDoit.asp?CAT491&CtNode=661. TAITRA's overseas offices also provide business-related services. The names and addresses of these offices can be found on the TAITRA website at http://www.taiwantrade.com.tw/TWTRADE/TE/html/main_page/overseasbranches.html.
